Advertising & Sponsored Content Agreement
The obligations that apply when you sponsor or boost content on OnCampusDaily.
1. Who this applies to
This agreement applies to any user who submits a campaign to sponsor or boost content on OnCampusDaily ("Advertiser", "you"), in addition to the Terms of Service. It applies to sponsoring any eligible content type, including a marketplace listing, service, business, event, community post, or Program.
2. Eligibility and verification
You may only sponsor content you actually own or are authorized to manage — OnCampusDaily verifies this ownership at the platform level before a campaign can be created. Where a specific advertising category requires additional verification (KYC) under applicable law (see section 9), OnCampusDaily may require it before approving a campaign.
3. Campaign creation and required information
A campaign specifies: the content being promoted; a budget (daily and total) and billing model (cost-per-impression, cost-per-click, or a fixed daily rate); a start and end date; a placement/surface (for example, the marketplace page, the events page, or the Programs front page); and, optionally, audience targeting (for example, by department, level, or campus). All figures are in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise.
4. Approval, activation, rejection, and budget reservation
A submitted campaign is reviewed by OnCampusDaily before it goes live. On approval, your campaign's total budget is reserved against your wallet balance (see the Payment & Refund Policy) — you must have sufficient wallet balance to cover it. OnCampusDaily may reject a campaign that violates this agreement, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, and will provide a reason. An approved campaign must still be separately activated before it begins delivering and accruing spend.
5. Billing and refunds
Spend accrues against your reserved budget as impressions or clicks occur (depending on your billing model), up to your daily and total budget caps — delivery simply stops once a cap is reached, it does not overspend it. Unspent reserved budget is released back to your available wallet balance when a campaign is completed, paused, or cancelled. A campaign that never delivers spend (for example, rejected before activation) has its full reservation released.
6. Mandatory sponsored labeling
All sponsored content must be clearly and visibly labeled "Sponsored" or "Ad". You must not design creative material or copy in a way intended to make sponsored content deceptively indistinguishable from organic content. Where a Program is sponsored, its listing continues to display the external-listing disclosure required by the Programs & External Listings Terms — sponsorship does not remove or reduce that disclosure.
7. Sponsoring a Program does not create an OnCampusDaily transaction
If your campaign promotes a Program, sponsoring it only pays for placement and visibility on the Platform. It does not turn the Program's own registration or payment into an OnCampusDaily-processed transaction — that remains entirely external, as described in the Programs & External Listings Terms. OnCampusDaily receives only the advertising/sponsorship payment for the placement itself.
8. Prohibited and restricted claims
Your advertising must not contain misleading, false, or unsubstantiated claims, and must comply with the Community Guidelines. Certain categories may be restricted or prohibited outright, including: unlicensed financial or investment products or advice; unsubstantiated health claims; misleading educational or credentialing claims; gambling, where not lawfully licensed; adult content; and political advertising, unless OnCampusDaily expressly enables and reviews a specific category. OnCampusDaily may decline or remove advertising in a regulated category where it cannot verify the required license or authorization.
9. Intellectual property, privacy, and data use in advertising
You represent that your creative materials do not infringe a third party's intellectual property or other rights (see the Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy). You will receive aggregated, privacy-protective campaign analytics as described in the Privacy & Data Protection Policy — you will not receive individually identifiable user data, message contents, or KYC information through the advertising system.
10. Suspension, removal, and indemnification
OnCampusDaily may reject, suspend, or remove a campaign that violates this agreement, and may suspend an advertiser account for repeated or serious violations. You agree to indemnify OnCampusDaily for claims arising from your advertising materials, claims, or conduct as an advertiser, as further described in the Terms of Service.
